CrowdCARE:Crowdsourcing Critical appraisal of Research Evidence: Optometry
The recently-launched, CrowdCARE (Crowdsourcing Critical Appraisal of the Research Evidence) is a free online clinical tool, which has been developed by two of our Senior Lecturers and Researchers, Dr Laura Downie, and Dr Michael Pianta
CrowdCARE is an electronic platform that uses crowdsourcing to enable people to share and access critically-appraised research evidence, as the basis for informing evidence-based practice.
In this session, we will demonstrate the functionality and capacity of CrowdCARE as a tool to use in your daily optometric practice, to stay up to date with the latest, best-available evidence. We will go through the steps on how to create a free account, how you can contribute to the database, and how you can use the system to help with patient management.
